Search on Your Own

These are some of the key questions that you should ask yourself to begin the camp search:

  • Which country do I prefer? We have tennis camps in Spain, France, England, Ireland and USA.
  • Do I want my son/daughter to receive English classes at camp? The majority of the camps, in addition to tennis training, teach English classes. Search the camps that offer English classes.
  • Do I want a high performance came or a standard one? There are two types of camps. The standard camps that are for children of all tennis levels where a training program is designed according to their level, needs and objectives but they have time left to study English or have fun doing other types of activities  and others, which only can be attended by children who wish to train in a high performance camp, where a higher level of tennis is expected of them and where classes are solely focused on the improvement of this sport, therefore the physical, discipline and effort requirements will be higher than in the standard  camps.

Other interesting information

  • Camp prices: the difference in price between camps is marked by three main concepts. The training hours, the hours of language classes and the program chosen. The greater the number of language hours and training, the greater the price. With respect to the programs, usually there are two types, standard or high performance programs. In the first one, the children, besides taking tennis lessons, practice many other leisure activities, participate in tours, and receive language classes. On the other hand, the high performance programs are aimed at young people who take this sport very seriously and who want a total dedication to it during camp, foregoing the activities of the standard program but receiving more specialized lessons at the hands of professional trainers who design a training adapted to the child’s need to maximize his/her potential.
  • There are camps that do not offer English classes: for instance, the high performance camps do not usually offer English classes but still offer an opportunity to improve the language. You have to take into account that all camp staff addresses the children in English, so they are encouraged to practice that language.By having many children of many different nationalities at the camp, children find themselves “forced” to use English so they can understand each other. All of this provides a language immersion that helps children improve their language skills.
  •  The majority of the camps have monitors and/or coaches who speak Spanish.
